These Terms of Service are the agreement between you and Mytel Wallet International Myanmar Company Limited, trading as MytelPay, for the use of MytelPay Edu360. Edu360 is an education platform used by students, parents, teachers, school leaders and ministry staff, and a single account can carry sensitive academic, financial and personal records. Please read these Terms before you sign in. If you are a student under 18, please read them together with a parent or guardian.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MytelPay Edu360 mobile application, its website at edu360.mytelpay.com.mm, and every mini app, feature and interface delivered inside it (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Mytel Wallet International Myanmar Company Limited, trading as MytelPay ("MytelPay", "we", "us", "our"), a Mobile Financial Services Provider authorised by the Central Bank of Myanmar and registered at No. 61-63, Zoological Garden Road, Dagon Township, Yangon, Myanmar. MytelPay is a separate company from Telecom International Myanmar Co., Ltd ("Mytel"), the mobile network operator: Mytel issues the mobile numbers Edu360 accepts and carries the SMS messages we send, but your agreement for the Service is with MytelPay. By creating an account, signing in, or continuing to use the Service after these Terms change, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy and our Data Protection Summary form part of this agreement; where a term is defined in one of those documents, it carries the same meaning here.
In these Terms: "Account" means the Edu360 identity tied to your registered Mytel mobile number. "Institution" means the school, education office, department or ministry body that has enrolled you into Edu360 and that owns the records shown to you. "Institution Data" means records an Institution creates, uploads or maintains about its students and staff, including enrolment, attendance, grades, conduct, timetables, payroll, budgets and official correspondence. "Mini App" means a functional module inside Edu360, whether built into the app, delivered as a web package, or hosted by a third party. "Role" means the capacity in which you use the Service — student, parent, teacher, head teacher, principal, staff or ministry officer. "Scope" means the set of records a Role is permitted to reach. "Trusted Device" means a device you have registered and verified for use with your Account. "Content" means anything you submit, upload, transmit or store through the Service.
The Service is offered only to people who (a) hold an active mobile subscription on the Mytel network, registered in their own name or, for a minor, in the name of a parent or guardian; (b) have been enrolled into Edu360 by an Institution, or are the parent or guardian of an enrolled student; and (c) use a supported device. Edu360 currently ships for Android; other platforms may follow, and availability on any platform may change. We do not accept sign-ups from mobile numbers issued by other operators, and we do not offer general-public accounts. Your subscription with Mytel is a separate contract between you and Mytel, and these Terms do not change it. If your relationship with the Institution ends — you graduate, transfer, or leave employment — the Institution may withdraw your access, and we will act on that instruction.
A substantial part of Edu360's user base is children. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only where your Institution has enrolled you and your parent or guardian has been informed and, where the law or the Institution's own policy requires it, has consented. Enrolment by an Institution is not a substitute for parental consent where consent is legally required: it is the Institution's responsibility to obtain and record it, and it is our responsibility to give parents the information and the controls they need to exercise their rights. A parent or guardian may ask the Institution to restrict, correct or withdraw a child's account at any time, and may contact us directly using the details at the end of this document. We do not knowingly create an account for a child outside an Institution's enrolment, we do not show advertising to any user, and we do not build advertising or commercial profiles of children or of anyone else.
You sign in with your registered Mytel mobile number and a one-time passcode (OTP) delivered to that number by SMS over Mytel's network. You are responsible for keeping control of the number, the SIM and the device. A mobile number is an identifier the network operator can reassign: if you stop using a number, or transfer it, tell your Institution and us promptly, because the next holder of that number must not inherit your Account. Do not share your OTP with anyone, including anyone claiming to be from MytelPay, Mytel, your school or a ministry office. We will never ask you for an OTP, a passcode or a PIN by phone, SMS or chat.
The first time you sign in on a device, Edu360 registers that device against your Account and verifies it. This is a security control, not an inconvenience: it is what stops a stolen mobile number from being enough to reach a child's academic record or a school's payroll. A prompt to verify a device, or a message that a device is not yet trusted, is the control working as designed. You may hold a limited number of Trusted Devices, you may remove a device from your Account at any time in Settings, and you must remove any device you no longer control. Changing SIM or handset requires the device to be registered again.
Some actions carry more risk than others. Approving a payment, releasing an official document, confirming a payroll period or changing a security setting requires you to authenticate again at the moment of the action, not merely to be signed in. Depending on the action and on your Institution's configuration, that step may use SmartOTP, an SMS OTP, a passcode you set for the app, or your device's biometric unlock. Biometric data is handled by your device's own secure hardware and operating system: it is never transmitted to us and we never store it. A local passcode protects this app on this device and is not a substitute for the SMS or SmartOTP step where that step is required. You must not disable, circumvent or share the means of completing these checks.
What Edu360 shows you is determined by your Role and Scope, both set by your Institution and by the ministry hierarchy above it — not by you, and not by us on request. A teacher sees their own classes; a principal sees their own school; a district or ministry officer sees the aggregate their office is responsible for. You must not attempt to reach records outside your Scope, and you must not use a Role granted to you for one purpose to serve another. If the Service shows you a record you believe you should not be able to see, stop, do not share it, and report it to us immediately using the contact details below. Treating such an exposure as an opportunity rather than a defect is a breach of these Terms and may be an offence.
For Institution Data, your Institution — and, above it, the responsible ministry body — decides what is recorded, who may see it, how it is corrected and how long it is kept. We operate the platform on their instructions. This matters in practice: if you believe a grade, an attendance mark, a fee or a personal detail is wrong, the correction is made by the Institution, and we cannot override an Institution's record on a user's request alone. Requests to access, correct, restrict or delete Institution Data should be addressed to the Institution first; where you contact us instead, we will route the request and tell you that we have. For data we hold about the operation of your Account itself — device registrations, sign-in history, app settings — we act on our own behalf, and you may contact us directly.
Edu360 is a shell that hosts many Mini Apps. Some are built into the application, some are web packages we deliver and update from our own infrastructure, and some are provided by an Institution, a ministry body or another third party. The catalogue you see is not the whole catalogue: a Mini App appears only where your Role permits it and where your Institution has enabled it, so a Mini App that is absent, greyed out or shown as unavailable is not a fault. Mini Apps may be added, changed, restricted or withdrawn at any time. Some require a higher level of identity verification before they will open, and some are read-only for your Role even when they are visible.
Where a Mini App or a linked service is operated by a third party, that party's own terms and privacy notice govern your use of it, and we are not responsible for its content, its availability, or its handling of your data beyond the interfaces we provide. We do require third-party Mini Apps distributed through Edu360 to respect the Role and Scope of the signed-in user and to handle student data consistently with this agreement and with our Privacy Policy. Report any Mini App that asks you for credentials, an OTP, or data unrelated to its stated purpose.
You agree not to: (a) access, attempt to access, or help anyone access any account, record or Scope that is not yours; (b) share, sell, publish or otherwise disclose Institution Data — and in particular any information about a child — outside the purpose for which you were given it; (c) impersonate another person, or use another person's Account, number, credentials or device; (d) upload malware, or content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing, or that endangers a child; (e) probe, scan, stress-test, decompile, reverse engineer or interfere with the Service, its transport security or its authentication controls, other than under a written authorisation from us; (f) automate access, scrape, or extract data in bulk without our written permission; (g) use the Service to send unsolicited commercial messages; or (h) use the Service for anything unlawful under the laws of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Educational institutions handle records about minors: we treat misuse of that access as serious, and we will report conduct that appears criminal to the appropriate authority.
You keep whatever rights you already hold in the Content you submit. To operate the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, transmit and display that Content for the purpose of providing the Service to you and to your Institution, and for the limited purposes of backup, security and legal compliance. That licence ends when the Content is deleted from our systems and our backups, subject to any retention period the Institution or the law requires. We do not use your Content to train advertising systems, we do not sell it, and we do not use a student's Content for any purpose other than delivering the Service and complying with the law. You are responsible for having the right to submit what you submit — including photographs of other people, and documents belonging to your Institution.
Where the Service supports payments — tuition, fees, cafeteria, transport or similar — those payments are processed through the MytelPay mobile financial service, which MytelPay operates under its authorisation from the Central Bank of Myanmar, and are additionally subject to the MytelPay wallet terms and to the rules of the payment instrument you use. Payment features may require identity verification (KYC) to a level set by law and by our regulator before they will open, and we may be required to decline, delay or report a transaction to meet anti-money-laundering obligations. Amounts, due dates, discounts and penalties are set by your Institution, not by us: a bill you see in Edu360 reflects what the Institution has recorded. Before you confirm a payment, check the payee, the amount and the reference. A completed payment is normally irreversible. Where a payment fails, is duplicated, or is applied to the wrong record, tell the Institution and MytelPay support promptly; we will assist with the transaction record.
Refunds and fee corrections are decided by the Institution that issued the charge, under its own published policy and under applicable law. Where a refund is agreed, it is returned through the original payment path unless that is impossible. Where you dispute a transaction you did not authorise, notify us immediately: we will preserve the relevant records, investigate under the complaint-handling rules that apply to a licensed mobile financial services provider, and tell you the outcome. Nothing in this clause removes any right you have under Myanmar consumer protection law or your right to complain to the Central Bank of Myanmar.
The Service sends operational messages: OTPs, security alerts, approval requests, timetable and attendance notices, payment confirmations and announcements from your Institution. These are part of the Service and cannot be switched off entirely while your Account is active, although you may control the categories and the delivery channel in Settings, and you may turn off system notifications at the operating-system level. Push messages are delivered through Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging; our Privacy Policy explains what that involves. We do not send marketing messages through Edu360 without a separate, specific opt-in.
We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Availability depends on your device, your network, Mytel's infrastructure, your Institution's systems and third parties outside our control. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, and we may add, change, restrict or withdraw features, Mini Apps and integrations. We will give reasonable notice of a change that materially reduces the Service, except where the change is required for security, for legal compliance, or to stop active abuse.
Some features are released to a limited group for evaluation and are labelled accordingly. Preview features may be incomplete, may change without notice, may be withdrawn, and are provided without any warranty. Do not rely on a preview feature for an official record, a statutory deadline or a financial decision.
The Service — its software, design, interface, brand names, logos and documentation — is owned by MytelPay or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other laws. The Mytel name and mark belong to Telecom International Myanmar Co., Ltd and are used under licence. These Terms grant you a personal, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the Service in the manner it is intended to be used, for as long as your Institution's enrolment and these Terms allow. Nothing here transfers ownership. Learning materials, question banks and documents supplied by an Institution or a publisher remain theirs, and you may use them only as that owner permits.
We may suspend or restrict your Account, immediately and without prior notice where the circumstances require it, if we reasonably believe that (a) your Account has been compromised; (b) you have breached these Terms, and in particular clause 12; (c) continued access would endanger another user, and especially a child; or (d) we are required to do so by law or by a competent authority. Where the reason is a compromised Account, we will restore access once it is safe. Your Institution may end your access independently of us. You may stop using the Service at any time and may ask for your Account to be closed; closure does not delete Institution Data, which the Institution continues to hold under its own retention rules.
Except where the law does not permit it, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, that access will be uninterrupted, or that data displayed from an Institution's systems is accurate, complete or current — the Institution is the source of that data and is responsible for it. Edu360 does not provide legal, financial, medical or academic advice, and no output of the Service should be treated as such.
To the maximum extent permitted by Myanmar law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, nor for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data, arising out of or in connection with the Service, whether the claim is in contract, tort or otherwise, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising in any twelve-month period is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in that period, or MMK 100,000 where you paid us nothing. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any liability owed to you under the rules that govern a licensed mobile financial services provider.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MytelPay, its affiliates and their officers and employees against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, your unlawful disclosure of Institution Data, or your infringement of a third party's rights. This clause does not apply to the extent the claim results from our own act or omission.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. We would like the chance to resolve a complaint before it becomes a dispute: please contact us first, using the details below, and we will acknowledge your complaint and tell you how we intend to handle it. If we cannot resolve it, the courts of Myanmar have jurisdiction. Nothing in this clause prevents you from complaining to your Institution, to the Central Bank of Myanmar in respect of a payment matter, or to any other competent regulator.
We may update these Terms. The current version is always published at edu360.mytelpay.com.mm/legal/terms/ and inside the app, and carries an effective date. Where a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will give notice in the app before it takes effect, and continued use after that date means you accept the new version. If you do not accept a change, stop using the Service and ask your Institution to withdraw your access.
This document is published in English, Vietnamese and Myanmar. The English text is the original; where a translation differs in meaning, the English text prevails. Questions about these Terms, reports of a security problem, and requests concerning your Account can be sent to the address and number published at the foot of this page. For anything concerning a grade, an attendance record, a fee or another Institution Data record, contact your school or education office first — they are the source of that record and the only party who can correct it. If you believe a child's data has been exposed, tell us immediately and mark the message urgent.
